Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Karass mobile application (the "App") operated by Karass ("we," "our," or "us").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Karass is an invitation-based social network that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon technology to facilitate proximity-based membership discovery. The App allows account creation, discovery of nearby beacons via Bluetooth, viewing announcements, beacon broadcasting by designated users, and account management including data export and deletion.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.
You must create an account to use the App via email/password, Apple, Twitter/X, or GitHub authentication. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. Usernames must be 3–30 characters (letters, numbers, underscores only) and unique. Passwords must be at least 8 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one digit.
Karass is an invitation-based network. Account creation does not guarantee membership access. Access is granted through proximity-based beacon discovery — you must be within Bluetooth range of an active Karass beacon. Administrators may approve accounts at their discretion. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at any time.

Administrators may post announcements visible to all authenticated members. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms. You retain ownership of content you provide (username, social handles) and grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the App.
The App uses BLE for beacon scanning and broadcasting. When broadcasting, the App transmits only a cryptographic hash — no personally identifiable information. Bluetooth is not used to track location. You may disable Bluetooth access at any time through device settings.
The App may send push notifications for announcements and account updates. You may disable them at any time through device settings.
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. You may export your data or delete your account at any time through the App. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Karass and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that results will be accurate, that Bluetooth functionality will work in all environments, or that defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karass shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the App, any third-party conduct or content, unauthorized access to your data, or Bluetooth signal interference or unavailability.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Karass and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may terminate your account at any time for conduct that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App. Upon termination, all data associated with your account is permanently deleted.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
If any provision is found unenforceable, it shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms otherwise remain in full force.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Karass regarding your use of the App.
